BIIIIIG UPD8 GUYS OMG I GOT TOMODACHI LIFE!!!

in order: I made Carol, Jud, Ryland, Zosia, Stratt & Blanc. why? because this is a vacation crossover AU. here's what happened=

Ryland fell on his face, Carol and Jud bonded over liking sports, I gave Zosia these "happy flowers" that float behind her, Carol and Ryland became good enough friends to move in together (I named their residence "Hail Mary"), I lost my first Red Light Green Light to Carol immediately and then I gave her the octopus prize and she loved it so much she told Jud about it, when Blanc first met Jud he offered him an ice cream cone and said "I have too many at home", Zosia introduced herself to Stratt who did not give a shit and Zosia walked away in depression, the only thing that cheered her up was telling her my favorite celebrity was Sabrina Carpenter (the only other name coming to mind was Bo Burnham but idk if Zosia knows him), Ryland got the violent hiccups and Carol said "I didn't know you could beatbox", Jud is also very picky about his shoes I kept buying so many different pairs and I accidentally gave him the one I bought for Ryland and he was still like "I don't like these but I'm keeping them" BRO GIVE THEM BACK THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE RYLAND'S RED BOOTS

whoo I'm getting heated because I haven't had to learn a new video game since my Minecraft beginner era, like, 3 years ago. being a beginner gamer is hard :(

anyway I have a stuffy nose (my #1 symptom every time I've gotten sick in my life), allergies or whatever the fuck. also I wasn't joking earlier I've been listening to Bo Burnham's "What." setlist on repeat for 3 days straight and I have a lot of thoughts

first one being that it is sO FUCKING GOOD OHMYGOD its meta in a GOOD way. no because like I've known about him vaguely when it came out because my older sister Monica showed it to me, and the memory is very faint, but I distinctly remember her repeating his jokes with such millenial enthusiasm that will live in my brain forever. I've definitely referenced that my favorite movie is Inside somewhere but dude I just love his songs and I think the main reason he's so skilled is because he likes musical theatre. like you have to REALLY care to achieve that level like cmon its MUSICAL COMEDY, one of the best genres ever

anyway lets talk abt Red Rising bc this book is long

*inhales* look. I know this series has a massive and dedicated fanbase, so I in no way intend to disrespect this series in any way shape or form. there is a lot to like about it, in some ways it's very unique, I mean the speech patterns are as fancy as any high fantasy series should be.

OKAY OKAY put your weapons down, I know I shouldn't just be comparing this to multiple other franchises but I think I just have trouble picturing everything without thinking about it. maybe that's a flaw on my end but goddamn if this isn't the most detailed universe I've ever had to memorize- like idk I love the Arc of a Scythe series because I could picture the world perfectly. like Red Rising is DUNE levels of insane

alright fuckit heres the layout: Rocky joins Ryland on the trip back to Earth, with an elaborate plan to land as a (hopefully) undetected capsule into the ocean. The Hail Mary disbands, ditches them in the water, and the capsule becomes a submarine that sails to shore. Meanwhile the crashland did something strange- it somehow killed a woman taking a photo of what she thought was a shooting star. Carol, the only witness, is determined to find out how.
