hey hi hello im your host naomi and I’m gonna rant about one of, if not the MOST, chaotic shows in history, both in terms of creation and execution. this “show” was really just a series of Twitch streams of various people playing Minecraft and worldbuilding their server together, and it also happens to be one of my favorite shows of all time, so I may be incredibly biased for it despite it being a super controversial media due to a long list of things I will not list, because I don’t care and that’s not what this page’s about. I’m literally just making this to rant about my most intense hyperfixation ever and if I’m the last fan alive because the show ended a while ago, then so be it.

for some background, Dream SMP aired on April 24 2020, and slowly ended sometime around late 2022 bro I don’t remember I never actually finished the show (COME ON MAN ITS LONG AS HELL). there were COUNTLESS streams adding up as the show continued and more streamers joined, some a lot more active than others, but it ultimately would take you like years to watch every single piece of content so most people like myself only saw a good chunk of it. because of this, it was actually a pretty difficult media to get into for people who aren’t Twitch regulars (like myself), and I actually got into it from watching the edited episodes from Blueberry TV on YouTube, although they had to cut it short in the middle of season 3. all this to say it is an incredibly long and difficult show to watch so I’m not even really making this page as a recommendation to check it out, I mean if you’re interested then by all means be my guest, but if you don’t have the time, then hopefully I can do this show justice by making this page.

anyway LET’S TALK ABOUT THE STORY!!!

so the story is incredibly long, as ive said, and since some of its creators are widely disliked nowadays, im gonna rewrite this shit, tie up loose ends, add in my theories, and canon-ize whatever i think makes sense. lets get started

Episode 1

FLASHBACK

once upon a time, there was a human boy who was adopted by the pirate captain sheep. she raised him on her adventures, and he became very skilled at running and fighting (but he can't read a map to save his life), and befriended a mushroom king, a friendly demon, and the demon's half-human son, a pyromaniac.

eventually this greenbean parted ways from his mom to venture into a gladiator battle against the infamous Blade, and although he lost, the two also became very close friends.

[so far we've established that he's REALLY good at making friends]

Episode 2

April 24, 2020

some time later he moved away to live with sapnap, and they immediately started looking for pets. Sapnap adopts two fish (because he's a pisces), and Dream becomes incredibly attached to a nonbinary horse he names Spirit. everything's going well, they're having fun discussing George's eventual move-in, and decorate their house for him

Sapnap borrows Spirit to go on a mini adventure to look for more materials, and along the way accidentally kills it

he comes back to Dream and gives him a shield as an apology, and they make a grave.

[and dream has visibly changed forever]

Episode 3

June 2020

a lot of people have now moved in (montage of George, Callahan, Sam, Ponk, Bad, and Alyssa) and then we're introduced to Tommy, a human boy with a goat-hybrid best friend called Tubbo. they're in the middle of a prank war with their fox friend Fundy, digging through Tommy's chests for potions and Fundy yells back "YOUR POTION-MAKING SUCKS!"

Tommy IMMEDIATELY cusses him out, and Tubbo withdraws two invisibility potions

"Where did you get those?!" "I got them a while ago. I fought like five witches" "C'mon tubbo lets go show this bitch whose got better potions"

all three of them are about to launch a battle until wilbur walks in. hardcut to them at the hot dog van and wilbur explains his plan for independence

"Don't get me wrong, dream's a nice guy, but i think we need to lay down some borders" hes saying, and eret joins them, fistbumping fundy, and tommy and tubbo realized they were pranking them invisibly the whole time

"are we gonna have to go to war?" "...we can avoid it. no one ever said anything against 'asking nicely'."

tommy and tubbo leave the meeting and tommy says "im literally going to war with dream right now" "Tommy-" "he still has my disc! we made plans to meet up and battle it out TODAY!" "at some point you need to figure out how to settle things diplomatically. didn't you hear anything wilbur just said" "oh come on Tubbo it's not like our lives are on the line"

they meet with dream and an epic battle ensues and Tommy wins!! dream says "well played. time to go to my next meeting" "Wait- you're meeting with Wilbur today??" "yup. I'm sure he'd love to hear about your victory, I can honestly say you deserve a higher title" "you fucking bet I do!"

Episode 4

July 2020

cut to Wilbur meeting Dream at the community house, "so. you want to run your own country, blocked off from me and everyone else on this server?" "it's more like a place to keep me and my family safe" "pssh, implying this server isnt safe-" "it's NOT." "look, wilbur, I'm not just gonna hand over a huge piece of land because you asked for it. you're making a COUNTRY, you're planning to have citizens, and laws, and possibly even armories-" "I'm not the dangerous part of this server!" "then what do you think is, huh? ME? look. I want it in writing. your request to claim land seperated from me and my friends, complete with the little checkbox that says 'I understand the resposibilities that come with running my own place without the aid of the server's Host. I accept the terms of policy that make my borders the line of law, and crossing it of any kind may result in whatever the outside laws have set'. got it?"

cut back to tommy and tubbo chilling on their bench listening to the disc, watching the sunset.

the next morning wilbur's bossing everyone around and throwing uniforms at them, mid-rant about him turning in a contract, and fundy walks in and frowns

"you didn't make one for me?" "oh, Fundy, you're not on the front lines" "Dad I'm literally older than them-"

Dream's gearing for battle and talks to george atop the cliff, watching eret work on the wall

"I'm worried about you being king, george" "why cause im british" "no because you're a TARGET. If we go to war, they might try to kill you" "do YOU wanna be king?" "no. we need someone else..."

*he goes down to Eret* "Hey Eret." "Hello, gentlemen."

"Look. This country you're making? it's cute, but it won't last. you're going to lose this war" "Well, they're my family-" "not if they're DEAD. look, if you really wanna make things better for them, I have a proposal: join me, and I will crown you king of the server. you'll have access to everything they don't. you could help them on the outside! I'm demoting George, who has no desire to care about your family, but YOU! you could be their neighbor! their super wealthy neighbor!" "What's the catch?" "your title of being... whatever you guys are calling yourselves. you can be their ally, just not their kind." "You're telling ME I'm an ally?" "Pssh, y'know what I mean. Just think about it, yeah?"

Niki arrives at spawn and Wilbur meets with her, walking her to L'Manberg while giving her a recap

that night Fundy's sulking and wilbur sits with him at the river and tells him about Sally

August 2020

Niki dons her uniform and hoists up the new flag, waving at Eret, and who's THIS diva

this bitch waltzes in wearing sunglasses like "tf is this place" "Big Q this is L'Manberg" "British?" "Yes" "Who's the president? It better not be you-"

"I am" "oh hoho, so you rank 'em by height. Who voted for you?" "I- well, this nation was my idea" "You're telling me y'all didn't have a democratic vote? The audacity" "Well, fine! We'll have a democratic vote, it's no big deal" "Wilbur what if people start running against you?" "Who sould possibly- oh" "SWAG2020, BABY" "YOU CANT BEAT POG2020, BITCH"

cut to Tommy petting Henry while talking to himself, and Sapnap starts shit-talking his house and Tommy cusses him out before taking Henry to the eiffel tower. "This is a nice view innit"

Fundy walks past and tommy insults him and it drives Fundy into a coconut crisis, boom Coconut2020

that night Karl takes Sapnap to the tower "yo thats tommy's cow imma prank him"

Sapnap starts luring henry away and accidentally kills him and has flashbacks of Spirit "oh fuck"

Episode 8

August 2020

Tommy sees dead Henry and quietly buries him

Tubbo runs up waving a paper

"bad news Tommy we got a meeting to go to" "Fine"

cut to Wilbur pacing his office and Tommy walks in "Tommy we need help, we need endorsements, we're running against two people now." "TWO?" "My own son is running against me" "omfg is this about that coconut shit I said" "YOU did this?!" "I didn't think it was a big deal!" "This is bad. This is really bad, we need- we need the Devil"

cut to Big Q's speech and Niki politely claps. Fundy goes after him and Niki cheers.

"tubbo where's the speech" "speech? since when am I supposed to write a speech?" "you're the secretary of state!" "we dont need a speech, Wilbur, we have a JUKEBOX!" they sing a song and pull back the curtains to reveal the DRUNKEST guy ever

Big Q is completely smitten over the shit speech and Schlatt throws the paper behind him and says "fuck this I wanna be president"

"I knew this was a bad idea" "Maybe we could make him an ally?" "Tubbo he's your dad if anyone can convince him it's you"

"omg hi I'm also running" "oh yeah? what are you, some kind of duck hybrid?" "uh-" "look bitch let's admit it, we're both losing, I only came for the free drinks. you're only here because you think you can be something you're not" "...we can pool our votes. we can team up! I'll let you be president while I'm vice, deal?"

"Didn't anyone ever tell you not to deal with the devil?"

"Niki youre going to jail for tax evasion" "lmanberg doesnt HAVE taxes!!" "well thats a shit way to run a country. what, did you have free healthcare too?"

Schlatt locks her in a single cell jail and she sticks her tongue out

Q apologizes and frees her minutes later

"I'm sorry Niki i dont know what that was all about-" "You should leave him! surely you have some kind of say, you're the vice!"

Q walks in the office one night and sees Schlatt playing the piano surprisingly well despite being clearly drunk, and Schlatt tells him about how he taught tubbo how to play before he ran away from home
